Network & Telecom Analyst

The Network Telecom Analyst performs technical and administrative duties related to the design, establishment, enhancement, and support of Richland County’s networking environment.

This position is cross-trained to perform the duties of the Senior Network Telecom Analyst and may perform these duties whenever the Analyst is absent, or whenever the position becomes temporarily vacant.

Regularly interacts with Richland County department heads and their designated representatives. Travels in personal car to computer sites throughout the County. Regularly interacts with outside consultants, and outside vendors.

This position is required to be on a rotating after hours on-call schedule.

Reports to the Network Telecom Operations Manager.

Education

Must have successfully completed college level course work in related topics, or have attended related professional seminars. Must be able to supply written proof of completion for all course work and/or degrees that are being used to satisfy the minimum training requirements.

Certifications

Must be able to pass a technical exam, relevant to this job, administered by the Information Technology Department.

A+ certification, MTA/MCP certifications are required. CCNA or Network + certifications are preferred.
