RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Manages assigned personnel and coordinates the activity of assigned personnel in order to provide effective security services to PHC. Enforces all PHC regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
Supports all security functions to maintain a safe and secure environment. Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects. Advocates crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention. Works as part of the System Public Safety Leadership Team in support of the System Director of Public Safety as well as the local entity Executive Leader.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years general security, military or other public safety experience with three (3) years experience in supervision/leadership roles required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/ BA in healthcare management/ business administration, criminal justice, or other related fields preferred
Required to pass psychological screening during pre-employment screening.
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (IAHSS) preferred
Active Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred
May be required to carry less lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or an expandable baton required
May be required to carry company approved firearm
To carry a lethal or less-lethal weapons the Manager must pass and maintain all training requirements
