We re seeking a Senior Rotordynamics Engineer with 16+ years of experience to support critical design and analysis activities as part of a high-performing senior technical team. In this contract role, you'll tackle complex engineering challenges and help drive the success of major aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced rotordynamic analyses using classical methods and modern modeling techniques to support rocket engine turbomachinery programs.
Provide engineering insights and technical recommendations related to design, development, and production of turbomachinery.
Analyze high-frequency dynamic data and correlate it with modeling results to ensure performance, safety, and reliability.
Identify and resolve complex technical problems with significant program-level impact.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate rotordynamic findings into larger systems.
Prepare detailed documentation and communicate technical findings to stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications
16+ years of rotordynamics experience supporting aerospace turbomachinery (a B.S. or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field may count toward experience).
Proven expertise in conducting classical and model-based rotordynamic analyses.
Experience reviewing and interpreting high-frequency turbomachinery dynamic data.
Strong understanding of turbomachinery development cycles, from concept through production.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively on technically complex projects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship permitted).
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering discipline.
