Job Summary :
The IT Program Manager is a senior-level professional responsible for overseeing and managing complex task orders or projects across multiple technical and administrative disciplines, including engineering and systems development. With a minimum of 7 years of experience, the Program Manager ensures technical solutions meet performance, schedule, and cost expectations. This role requires interfacing with government representatives, managing personnel and subcontractors, and making high-level decisions to drive program success.
Job responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day management of assigned task orders or related systems.
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT and engineering projects.
Assign tasks to team members and subcontractors; track performance and timelines.
Ensure adherence to contract requirements, quality standards, and cost-effective approaches.
Identify and resolve issues, discrepancies, or risks to meet program goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the contractor and government representatives.
Provide regular written and oral updates to contractor management and government stakeholders.
Negotiate and make binding decisions on behalf of the contractor organization.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in program management for IT or engineering-based projects.
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Strong planning and execution skills for large-scale technical projects.
Excellent communication skills for reporting and interfacing with stakeholders.
Experience with federal government contracts and task order management.
Knowledge of systems development, application programming, and technical project lifecycle.
Ability to develop cost-effective solutions and monitor project performance.
Authorized to negotiate and make binding decisions on behalf of the contractor.
