Our 2025 Summer Internship Program is an 10-week program designed to provide college students and recent graduates with a once in a lifetime opportunity within the sports and entertainment industry. We designed our program to deliver real life, hands-on experience that can be readily applied to future challenges and professional pursuits.

As the Community & Social Responsibility Intern for Motor City Cruise, you will assist in impacting the community through a commitment to education and mentoring, health and fitness, military recognition, and basic needs as well as G League sponsored program and player charities. We are seeking a team member with a positive, upbeat attitude that can connect with a diverse population, and we are excited to meet you!
What you’ll be doing
Assist with off-season community events which will include planning, set up, budgeting and execution of Motor City Cruise CSR related events
Support CSR team plan for the upcoming NBA G League season
Collaborate with Manager, Business Operations and CSR team member on all related purchase orders and check requests for the department
Serve as MCC liaison with non for profits including scheduling of activations, transportation, ticket and gift distribution.
Aide Motor City Cruise staff with all other projects, as assigned
What we’re looking for
College students entering their junior or senior year, or recently graduated college within the last six months, studying Communications, Marketing, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
Must be flexible and eager to learn.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Hard-working, self-improvers who are hungry, proactive, and possess a positive attitude.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be available to work 40 hours per week, unless otherwise agreed upon with their supervisor. Some interns must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Pistons Performance Center.
Must be able to provide your own housing throughout the duration of the internship.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
