Job Overview:
E-Logic is seeking a Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator Consultant to provide expert-level support and maintenance for its Red Hat Linux systems within the Information Technology (IT) Staff Augmentation Services area. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of the Judiciary's Linux infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert-level administration, support, and troubleshooting for Red Hat Linux systems.
Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers and related components.
Perform system security hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other infrastructure components.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including installation procedures, configuration details, and troubleshooting guides.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Linux administrators.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Red Hat Linux technologies and best practices.
Adhere to all Judiciary protocols, including those related to security and safety.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in an enterprise environment.
Deep understanding of Linux system architecture, including kernel, file systems, networking, and security.
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting RHEL servers.
Strong experience with system security hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating system administration tasks.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Must be able to comply with Judiciary protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.
Experience with other Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with database administration (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
