Job Description

TalentLogistix is immediately hiring a skilled Fabricator in the Talladega, AL area. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive wage for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals.

We are looking for a highly skilled Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fabricating structural steel and working with various fabrication equipment. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, fabricating parts, and assembling them to meet project specifications. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $22.60/hr – $28.85/hr (depending on experience)

Location: Talladega, AL 35160

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Read and understand technical drawings to fabricate parts through the entire process, from layout to assembly

Use shears, brake-press, iron workers, and plate rolls to shape and form metal parts

Layout, assemble, and weld parts in accordance with project specifications

Work with structural steel components and ensure high-quality welds and fabrications

Operate various fabricating tools and machinery to cut, bend, and shape metal materials

Ensure parts meet all quality and safety standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a job shop environment, particularly with structural steel fabrication

Experience working with shears, brake-press, iron workers, and plate rolls

Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and weld symbols

High School Diploma or GED required

Must provide own tools

Must be able to work overtime as required

Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes
