Shift: 1st (6:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Thursday, 10 hours)
Job Description: As a Building & Grounds Janitorial Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of Team’s facilities and surrounding grounds. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to facility recycling and waste management, lawn and landscape care, snow & ice management as well as routine fixes, HVAC, and plumbing services. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards to ensure a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients is a must. The shift schedule is flexible for the right self-motivated, “can do”, positive mindset individual for covering our 4 different buildings. Experience is preferred but not necessary.
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
Preferable skills and abilities include but are not limited to the following:
Cleaning & Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks and sanitizing surfaces in designated areas including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and communal areas; Perform a monthly deep clean service in restrooms and shop wash basins
Safety Compliance: Adhere to Team’s safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties to prevent accidents and injuries; usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
Trash Removal: Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and procedures; sort and recycle materials as appropriate.
Building System Maintenance: Perform routine service on HVAC and plumbing systems such as changing filters, fixing minor water leaks and unclogging toilets, urinals, and sinks.
Restroom Maintenance: Monitor and replenish all restroom products and keep an accurate chemical and janitorial supply inventory on a computer software program for ease of refilling and replacement orders.
Groundskeeping: Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks including litter removal, sidewalk and parking area cleaning, and seasonal landscaping duties such as mowing, weeding, and leaf removal. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or need for repair issues.
Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, pressure washers, and power tools. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or need for repair issues.
Emergency Response: Respond to urgent cleaning requests and emergencies such as spills, leaks, or accidents promptly and efficiently. Follow established procedures for handling biohazardous materials if applicable.
Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors and Team employees regarding maintenance needs, scheduling adjustments, and any issues impacting Team’s facility cleanliness or safety; Continually provide service with a Smile!
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Computer literate in Microsoft software
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Familiar knowledge of Plumbing and entry level HVAC service and repair
Knowledge and familiarity of cleaning chemicals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and janitorial supplies
Strong attention to detail and reliability are needed; able to perform work independently
Physical Stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
