We are seeking a Fitter-Bandsaw Profile Grinder to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in Ridgefield, WA. Come and grow with us!

As a Fitter, you’ll be responsible for assembling steel parts, interpreting mechanical blueprints, and ensuring precision in the fabrication process.

Schedule: 2nd Shift 7:00 pm-10:30 pm, Monday-Friday, and every other Saturday as needed. Pay range for this position is $20.00-$24.00 per hour plus .75 shift differential.

How you will make a positive impact:

Perform from rubbings of saw profiles utilizing engineering worksheets as well as production schedules

Measure final product to ensure uniformity and adherence to product specifications

Prioritize production runs to assure customer orders are concluded on time and maximize machine run time plus productivity on multiple machines

Set up bandsaw milling machines to fit product designs

Perform loading and unloading of material and changing of milling bits as required

Ensure machines are calibrated and cleaned and work area is clean

Crosstrain to other positions as requested

Actively participate in LEAN training as requested, provide observations and suggestions, implement continuous improvements, and promote and adhere to safety standards of the company

Dispose of scrap according to company standards

The value you bring:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience in a production manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

Able to work with people to troubleshoot problems

Able to accomplish daily work requirements to meet customer demands

Must be able to do basic math, including decimals and fractions

Must be able to speak and read English

Must be able to lift 50 pounds alone or up to 100 pounds with lift assistance

Must be able to walk and stand for 8-12 hours a day
