Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and setting up of production machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards. Self-motivated, with the ability to complete assigned tasks with the minimal amount of supervision. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Troubleshoot issues, perform immediate repairs, execute preventive maintenance on equipment
Maintain & Organize Shop
Assemble & Install New Equipment & Lines
Move equipment around per Engineering Requests
Perform equipment changeovers and production line setups
Support & assist Product Trials
Suggest / Request Parts / Inventory Parts
Resolve Work Requests – M+ or Radio Calls
Perform accurate & successful PM’s
Read assigned Emails
Write End of Shift Report
Fill out M+ Personal Work Orders
Receive Training & Help train other Mechanics & Operators
Rebuild and fabricate parts
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Can read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, research parts needed and generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
Generate and complete work orders/inspections within the Maintenance Management Program (ManagerPlus)
Maintain good attendance and work weekends when needed
Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork. Comply with OSHA safety and GMP standards
Perform other duties as assigned by ManagementRequirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on an on-call basis as needed
Valid driver’s license and insurability under the company’s insurance policy
Ability to follow specifications and read electrical schematics
Welding, fabrication, and machining mill skills preferred
Electrical trouble shooting experience
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred
Required to supply own tools
Average math skills and proven ability to perform tasks
Ability to read and interpret company documents. Ability to use tablet and email
Ability to learn the Maintenance Management Program used at cw
Ability to communicate effectively on all levels
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required. Experience in the food /high-speed environment is a plus
Working Conditions:
Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
Some tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completed
Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including but not limited to Bump Cap/Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection and Disposable Masks
Physical Requirements:
Physical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently.
Abilities may include but are not limited to:
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools
Bending at the waist
Kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time
Reaching above the head to store or retrieve materials
Hearing and speaking to exchange information
Seeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gauges
Lifting and carrying heavy equipment or materials
Working in cramped spaces
Use ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift while performing job duties
