Job Opportunity: Metal Spinner Operator

Location: Shakopee, MN

Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $23.50-30/hour

Position Summary:

As a Metal Spinner Operator, you will set up and operate spinning lathes to produce shaped articles from sheet or plate metal. This role requires interpreting blueprints and leveraging knowledge of metal properties to achieve precise results. If you have experience with manual and CNC lathe spinning and a passion for craftsmanship, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Secure metal disks to spinning chucks and prepare the lathe for operation.

Use long-handled tools and apply precise pressure to shape metal disks according to blueprints.

Adjust processes to accommodate varying metal types, thicknesses, temperatures, and lathe speeds.

Trim excess material using bar tool attachments.

Perform routine maintenance on manual and CNC spinning equipment.

Document production activities and quality checks.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and production requirements.

What We're Looking For:

Experience with manual spinning and PNC/CNC lathe spinning (preferred).

Background in metal fabrication (preferred).

Ability to read blueprints and operate measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.

Strong attention to detail and hands-on technical skills.

A self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Exposure to industrial environments, including noise, vibrations, chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
