Job Description

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a regular scheduled case load when not assisting Technical Supervisor.

Assist in the technical training for new hires and existing staff, as needed

Assist in the management of designated technical staff scheduling. Inclusive of regular schedules, on call schedules, holiday schedules, vacation schedules and other coverage issues

Expected to trouble shoot minor equipment problems and advise or initiate a service call as needed

Acts as a resource for other sonographers when clinical or technical issues arise.

Responds to any issue(s) or complaint(s) arising from a facility, by being proactive in providing an immediate solution

Acts as a backup for any STAT request if a field sonographer in his/her area is unable to respond or report to the ordering facility

Escalates any issue(s) to the director of ultrasound as needed

Participates as needed in the field orientation of new sonographer

Required to perform other duties as needed

SKILLS EXPERIENCE:

Must have and maintain ARDMS or CCI certification

Must have and maintain valid a state issued Drivers License

Must have and maintain a good driving record
