Summary
Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education with a focus on kindergarten readiness. Our program utilizes a state-approved curriculum and offers monthly enrichment activities. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant to support our lead teachers and contribute to the growth and development of our 3 and 4-year-old students.
Position Summary: The Preschool Teacher Assistant will assist the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. This role involves supporting daily activities, preparing materials, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about early childhood education.
Duties
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a dynamic and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Support daily classroom activities, including lesson plans, arts and crafts, playtime, and other learning experiences.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Assist with the preparation of materials and supplies needed for daily activities.
Provide individual attention and support to children as needed to facilitate learning and development.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all children feel valued and supported.
Communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Assist with the assessment and documentation of children’s progress and development.
Participate in monthly enrichment activities and special events.
Engage with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress and daily activities.
Follow all state and local regulations and standards for early childhood education.
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
High energy.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
An understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, must have before starting
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Nice To Haves
CDA
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field.
