HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
Oversee & Support Trade Compliance business unit functions – mostly Imports & some Exports. Can be remote if you live in any of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia.
EXPECTATIONS
Oversee & Support Business Units in the Trade Compliance function
Will be responsible to assess current Trade Compliance program, make recommendations and roll out guidelines for all Business Units.
Support/guide/audit/train all Business Units in regard to Trade Compliance matters
Consult with Counsel on necessary TC matters
Responsible for all import/export licensing
Oversee all FTA's – especially USMCA
Provide guidance for all Classifications – HTS/ECCN
Set up KPI's for FF & Brokers – audit
Look for potential cost savings through programs such as duty drawback, Maquila program reconciliation, etc.
Work with all Government agencies to especially CBP & BIS
Procedures/manuals/training
ESSENTIALS
Bachelor's Degree highly preferred & LCB a plus
Experience in corporate trade compliance – North America a plus
Experience with all aspects of importing as above expectations state
Some export licensing preferred
FTZ AND Maquiladora operations experience required
Extensive experience in Microsoft applications
20% travel will be required
