About the Role:

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their medical visits. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a medical office or clinic.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.

Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.

Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing, adhering to safety and sterilization protocols.

Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of all interactions and treatments.

Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing excellent customer service to patients.

Skills:

The required skills of medical assisting, phlebotomy, and vital signs monitoring are utilized daily to ensure that patients are prepared for their appointments and receive the necessary care. Proficiency in using medical instruments and sterilization techniques is critical for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment during procedures.
