Overview
Under the direction of the Planning Department’s Chief Information Officer, you will play a significant role in the overall content strategy. The Senior Web Content Manager will protect the overall consistency of the user experience and coordinate content for the website.
Responsibilities

Responsible for formulating and updating a cross-platform content strategy.
Regularly review Google Analytics to suggest improvements in web content and its location.
Optimize content according to Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the organization's website.
Updating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript regularly.
Conducting content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
Creating appropriate website content aligned with the organization's strategy.
Improving the user experience of the website regularly.
Collaborating with all staff and management to ensure the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
Ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations on the website.
Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications
Work requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in web content creation, content management, communications, journalism, or related field.
Experience working in diverse media formats is required.
Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and with all levels of management.
Must have HTML and CMS skills to channel our stories in timely and impactful ways.
Knowledge of web technologies, standard concepts, best practices, and procedures, including content management systems, web analytics, XHTML, CSS, and Adobe CS suite.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects - some self-initiated - with various timelines is necessary.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and focus on details as required by the job.
Ability to manage simultaneous assignments while maintaining a critical attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work on diverse teams and experience building strong relationships across a range of functional areas and seniority levels.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED
Terms:
Union/Salary Plan/Grade: EXM/($75,000-$105,000)
