We’re seeking a DAS Technician skilled in Public Safety DAS and commercial Cellular DAS installation to join our Team. With every position, we are seeking teammates who share our core values: Can-Do-IT Attitude, Desire to Own IT, and Proud to Do IT Right.

Qualifications:

RF Awareness

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Splice/Test OTDR/iOLM

Anritsu PIM & Sweep

GROL (or the ability to obtain)

RFS & Trilogy

UL Lockout/Tagout

Responsibilities of the DAS Technician:

Read and follow DAS design drawings, blueprints, and installation guides.

Install DAS equipment & components. To include, but not limited to: outdoor donor antennas, indoor antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, DC power cable and other appropriate components to NEC standards.

Terminate coaxial cable: Trilogy, RFS, etc.

Fusion Splicing and Fiber OTDR Testing

Configure and integrate DAS headend equipment such as rectifiers, battery systems, along with relevant monitoring components such as dry contact alarm monitoring equipment.

Expert at completing sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.

Keep DAS team informed of installation progress. Communicate and coordinate with DAS team related to specific safety, local code, and company installation requirements.

Assist with site surveys to troubleshoot and implement corrective RF and RF/fiber optic installations for existing systems with inadequate coverage.

DAS Technician Job Experience:

5 years’ experience in-building DAS installation.

5 years’ experience in cable installation in IT, cable, electrical, RF and/or telecommunications fields.

Knowledge of the terminology used in the in-building DAS industry.

Working knowledge of RF testing equipment (i.e., spectrum analyzer, sweep and PIM test equipment).

Demonstrated ability to use basic hand and power tools needed for installation projects.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

5 years’ experience performing fusion splicing, fiber terminations, fiber dressing, fiber cleaning & OTDR testing is a plus.

5 years’ experience performing RF sweep & PIM measurements is a plus.
