Develop high-voltage electrical system designs for substations, transmission lines, and power distribution networks.
Perform load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash studies.
Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC).
Lead engineering projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage equipment.

Develop preventive maintenance programs for high-voltage systems
Diagnose and resolve faults in power systems.
Optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Ensure adherence to electrical safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.)
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical safety.
Provide technical expertise to junior engineers and field personnel
Conduct training sessions on high-voltage systems and safety procedures.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Having a minimum of 8–10 years of experience in high-voltage electrical engineering.
Proficiency in electrical design software (ETAP, DIgSILENT, AutoCAD.
Knowledge of high-voltage protection and control systems.
Understanding of SCADA, relay coordination, and grid interconnection.
A professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in field conditions, substations, and industrial facilities.
