Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled and culturally aware Graphic Designer with motion design abilities to join the creative team at Fanbase. This role is ideal for a rising talent or early-career designer who has a sharp eye, strong fundamentals, and a deep connection to Black culture and digital expression.
You’ll create engaging visual assets and animations across social media, product marketing campaigns, and in-app and off-app content. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, consistently produces polished work, and can turn around high-quality design quickly without sacrificing creativity or detail.
We’re looking for someone who is hungry to grow, takes feedback well, and is passionate about using design to tell stories, shape culture, and elevate Creators.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Visual Identity
Design social graphics, campaign assets, promotional visuals, and in-app creative that are on-brand and high-impact.
Support the marketing and product teams by translating ideas into clean, compelling visuals—often with tight turnarounds.
Maintain consistency across all creative assets while contributing fresh, relevant ideas that speak to the Fanbase audience.
Motion Graphics & Animation
Create short-form motion graphics for social posts, app animations, and video explainers.
Collaborate with Producer/Editor and product marketing team to bring campaigns and concepts to life.
Ensure animations are smooth, on-brand, and optimized for digital platforms.
Cultural Alignment & Team Collaboration
Design with a strong awareness of Black culture, hip-hop, and the Creator landscape.
Contribute to a collaborative, feedback-rich environment with a high standard for polish and fast-paced delivery.
Work closely with senior creatives to learn and refine design execution across multiple channels.
Qualifications & Experience
1–3 years of design experience, internships, or freelance work, or a strong portfolio that speaks for itself.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma and motion tools like CapCut, Premiere, or After Effects.
A sharp eye for detail in layout, color, typography, and motion timing.
Ability to follow visual guidelines, respond to feedback, and turn around high-quality work quickly.
Passion for culture, music, and digital storytelling.
Comfortable working under pressure and within deadlines.
Bonus Points
Experience designing for social platforms, Creator content, or digital media brands.
Familiarity with trends in hip-hop, art, and youth culture.
Experience with light video editing or photography.
