The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, and interprets tests to manage acute and chronic illnesses, promoting health and injury prevention. They practice autonomously and collaboratively within the ICU, managing critically ill patients under physician supervision.
Qualifications include a Master s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant certification, with at least 2 years of critical care experience.
Current Georgia RN license, NP authorization, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.
The role involves direct patient care, consultation, research, and advocacy for complex patient needs.
