Case Picker/Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

The Case Picker is responsible for accurately picking cases, ensuring the correct items are selected, packed, and prepared for shipment. This role requires operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, performing regular cycle counts, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working with chemicals and powders safely, and proficient in using inventory management systems to track and document order information. A clean, safe work environment is a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately pick cases based on order documents, ensuring the correct items are selected for shipment.

Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to efficiently move, organize, and store inventory within the warehouse.

Work safely with chemicals and powders, ensuring proper handling, storage, and labeling in accordance with safety guidelines.

Use computer systems to input and track order details, updating inventory management software as necessary.

Ensure all items are properly packed and prepared for shipment according to customer requirements.

Report any discrepancies, missing items, or issues with orders to the supervisor.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Follow safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques, forklift operation, and chemical handling.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in case picking, order picking, or inventory control preferred.

Experience handling chemicals and powders in a safe and controlled manner.

Valid forklift certification for both stand-up and sit-down forklifts required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in using computers, including inventory management software.

Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy cases and materials.

Standing, walking, and operating forklifts for extended periods.Company Description
