Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Bookkeeper for a Construction client to join our team on a part-time basis (15–20 hours per week). This role will focus on managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing essential financial reports, reconciliations, and audits, closing analysis, and supporting client needs. The ideal candidate should possess proven experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel, alongside excellent communication skills, strong time management, and a client-centered approach. This position offers flexible hours, but some availability during regular business hours is required for tasks such as dropping off checks, meeting with clients, and handling additional duties as needed. In addition, company headquarters are in New Braunfels, TX so must be willing to travel for interview process and at least once a quarter for in-person team meetings.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and efficiently.
Prepare, analyze, and deliver financial reports, including reconciliations and audits.
Maintain and update records of financial transactions using QuickBooks Online and other tools.
Collaborate with clients and internal team members to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
Drop off checks and handle other on-site administrative tasks as required.
Provide excellent client support to meet and exceed expectations.
Communicate financial updates clearly and effectively with clients and team members.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies for financial management.
Requirements:
Must reside in Austin, TX or the surrounding areas within proximity to the city limits.
Proven experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel is required.
Strong communication skills, time management, and a client-centered attitude.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and construction-related bookkeeping practices.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-Time: 15–20 hours per week to start, but possibility of full time within 3 to 6 months.
Flexible Schedule: Hours can be adjusted to your availability but must be available a few hours 3 weekdays during normal business hours for client meetings and other tasks as described above.
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and once full-time will be salaried.
