Candidates will be responsible for tool making for injection mold dies, assisting with Mastercam programming, setting up and running Haas Mills, and working with EDM Machines. This role involves repairing dies from start to finish, and offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
Build molds, fixtures, or related tools and complete tooling repairs and revisions.
Setup and operate toolroom equipment needed to build, repair, revise, and service molds, fixtures, and related tools in a correct and timely manner.
Proficient at Mastercam programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
Ensure assigned projects are completed within the quoted time and material limits, and communicate any expected delays, problems, or budget variances to the Toolroom Manager.
Complete and maintain any department-related paperwork or electronic data in an orderly and timely manner.
Plan and lay out work from CAD models and drawings.
Design and create CAD models or drawings for mold components and related tools as needed.
Troubleshoot mechanical mold problems.
Prepare tooling components for outside vendor services.
Order components for departmental needs as requested.Essential Skills
Proficiency in tool and die making.
Experience with mill programming, CNC programming, and CNC mill programming.
Proficient in Mastercam programming.
Ability to build, repair, revise, and service plastic injection molds, fixtures, and related tools.
Knowledge of plastic injection molding, tooling, machining, and die repair.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be a trade school graduate in toolmaking/machining technology, or have 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in plastic injection mold making.
Proficiency in 3-axis CNC mill programming from solid CAD models.
Experience in solid modeling and complex 3-D programming is highly desirable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be part of a small team within a company of 36 people, working across 3 different shifts. Regular hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime may be required, and work hours may be adjusted to meet tooling requirements. The majority of the work is done in a machine shop setting, with some outside travel to vendor sites and occasional heavy lifting.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
