Volt is immediately hiring for a Senior Engineer/ Extrusion Engineer at BROOKLYN PARK, Minnesota 55445.

As a Senior Engineer/ Extrusion Engineer, you will:

Has strong impact in LEANPD driven new product development projects

Drives for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods

Strives to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control

Acts as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.

Supports Product Development in the optimization designs and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.

Designs, develops, and qualifies tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards.

Documents all processes and tooling in applicable systems (SAP, TLM).

Supports supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.

Initiates and implements programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time.

Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

Looking for an extrusion engineer to support production thru the Site Closure

Develops product families or undertakes small and medium size projects.

Manages technical elements while maintaining performance and schedule.

Mainly acts as core team member (or core team leader if project management is not available).

Thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function: e.g. CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools.

Thorough knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.

Deep technical knowledge of the product domain the engineer is working in.

Influence in present role for multiple projects.

Contributes to multiple project level technology and product decisions.

Contributes to technical function initiatives across multiple projects.Thank you!

Payrate Range in Between - $90- $95/hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
