Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Material Handler to join our team. This role involves overseeing material handling operations, including operating forklifts and reach trucks, and utilizing ERP systems. You will lead a team of Material Handlers, ensuring efficient production flow and adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of Material Handlers by setting priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring daily schedules are met.
Train new staff, mentor current team members, and reinforce company policies and safety protocols.
Coordinate material movement, staging, and inventory control to support efficient production flow.
Monitor team accuracy in pulling and documenting inventory for production orders.
Conduct and oversee routine cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
Track and report team performance metrics to management.
Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory.
Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Allocate and transfer materials needed to maintain an efficient flow of material through the operation.Essential Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required.
5+ years of material handling or warehouse experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with inventory software systems.
Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks, including stand-up reach.
Supervisory experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a light-filled, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with over 100 employees, including a team of 13 in Material Handling. The typical shift for Material Handling is from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime shifts from 4am to 2:30pm. The production shift is from 6am to 2:30pm, with possible overtime from 5am to 3:30pm. Our culture emphasizes good decision-making and a congenial management team.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
