Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician who can work autonomously to conduct routine electrical tasks while adhering to all plant PPE requirements and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the handling, operation, and safe use of various types of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, switches, and more.
Responsibilities
Comply with all plant PPE requirements and safety protocols.
Operate and maintain all types of electrical equipment including motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, relay, control equipment, communication equipment, electronic and fluid controls, power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
Use electrical maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including electrical testing and measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot ladder logic, read ladder logic diagrams, and identify electrical devices causing issues.
Work with PLC5 RS Logic, proximity switches, limit switches, VSD, and 480V motors (AC).
Wire motors, proximity switches, limit switches, VSD, and 480V motors.Essential Skills
Experience working on overhead cranes.
3-5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Familiarity with PLC, ladder logic, and motor troubleshooting.
Ability to read ladder logic and identify electrical device issues.
Experience with PLC5 RS Logic, proximity switches, limit switches, VSD, and 480V motors (AC).
Previous experience in Navy (nuclear), foundry, paper mill, or aluminum industry.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a very heavy industrial setting that is dirty and non-climate controlled, with some areas being extremely hot due to equipment and outdoor climate. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and additional PPE depending on the department. The maintenance team currently has 86 members, with a goal of reaching 106. Employees work on a rotating shift schedule (Dupont/swing shift) with shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Straight day shifts are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Mandatory overtime may be required based on department needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
- 9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)
- They can test every 6 months to test into higher tech level and get pay increase
- Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S
- 401K matches 6%. Benefits start on Day 1 (Full medical, dental and vision coverage – very competitive benefits and multiple options. You can get full copy during interview)
- $300 tool stipend each year

- Quarterly bonus up to 10% of what they have made in total that quarter. This is based on company profitability. They currently are averaging 4-6% per quarter
o Quarter bonus is tied to attendance.

- If you work 6 days in a row, on your 6th day you are paid x1.75. If you work 7 days in a row, your 7th day is double pay

- Vacation: Start out immediately at 80 hours. 3 years, 152 hours, 5 years - 175 hours, 10 years - 192 hours, 15 years - 208 hour
