Repair and Assembly Technician Job Description
The Repair and Assembly Technician is responsible for the adequate and safe assembly of components used in the daily production of piling equipment and accessories. The Assembler trains, guides, and educates less senior assemblers in completing their assembly projects. Responsibilities also include maintaining tools and equipment including the test bench keeping the process area capable and ready for production.
Responsibilities:
Performing, in an expert manner, Assembly of Drive Heads with proper torque.
Cutting and Crimping hoses per specifications and or by determining adequate cut lengths to fit the needs of unique equipment.
Repairing drive head gear boxes and motors.
Train and educate others supporting the assembly process.
Create maintenance schedule and maintain all tools and equipment in the assembly and repair process area.
Paint and Assemble Jibs, bail housings, or other misc. parts as needed.
Use proper torques and Inspect finished jobs for quality and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities When Not Assembling:
The following additional responsibilities of an Assembler may be assigned by the shop manager:
Assist the other crew members in performing their duties as directed (paint, shipping, etc).
Housekeeping is an important responsibility. When conditions are such that the welder is not actively involved in welding activities housekeeping will need to be done.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
8 hour shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Required Qualifications for Assembler:
Experience making hoses and or assembling hydraulics a plus.
Technical knowledge through experience a plus.
Able to pass fork truck driving test and operate overhead crane for heavy lifting.
Will have 60 day probationary period and review to be hired into a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and diagrams and determine critical dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools
Performs work as required utilizing hand tools such as a wrenches, sockets, screw drivers, drills, hammers, etc.
Will operate overhead crane and fork truck
To provide quality and timely workmanship on each work order and maintain daily time standards
Demonstrate ability to follow established safety and quality procedures.
Work in a Team environment, be flexible to move from job to job to support the schedule
