To administer, organize and maintain the St. Louis Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Programs, and support 3 other regional sites. Work actively with all St. Louis site employees and other regional sites to ensure commitment and compliance.
Work with site Management and Corporate EH&S to stay apprised of developments in federal and state EH&S laws and regulations.
Develop, organize, administer, and track Safety Training Programs as well as communicating safety-related issues through memos, safety newsletters, on-site meetings, and through the disbursement of relevant publications.
Coordinate Near Miss, and Accident Investigation root cause analysis. Work with site staff to implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
Collect and maintain records / data needed for required reporting while ensuring proper storage of all EH&S legal documentation.
Ensure proper product container labeling & identification, plant and equipment signage to meet EH&S regulations.
Lead audits of procedures for each department; prepare and communicate all required corporate Quality and EHS reporting and KPI tracking.
Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 certification for the St. Louis site.
Work with site managers and supervisors to drive process improvement.Qualifications
BS or advanced degree in environmental, industrial or chemical engineering, or related field.
5+ Years experience.
Certified Professional Health & Safety status (ASP, CSP, IH, EIT, PE, CHSP, etc.) preferred.
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Project Management Skills, self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven towards continuous improvement.
Full understanding of Quality Management ISO 9001
Some travel required, approximately 25% of the time.
