Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. This position reports directly to the Tempe site leader with a dotted line to the corporate HR Director to ensure the alignment of HR strategies with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR processes, a passion for employee engagement, and the ability to effectively manage day-to-day HR operations. Recruitment management is a high priority for this role and you will be working closely with hiring managers & corporate HR on job postings, resume review, prescreening and interviewing for multiple sites.
As an HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead with empathy, emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence, and critical thinking
Oversee and manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and talent management.
Report to the Director of HR, VP of Integration at Corporate Office, to ensure the alignment of HR strategies with organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Manage the recruitment process by working with the corporate recruiting team, hiring managers, posting job ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding employee relations.
Assist the corporate HR team with the execution of performance appraisal reviews.
Lead employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
Analyze HR metrics and provide reports on trends, turnover, and other key HR indicators to the Director of HR, Corporate Office.
Stay up-to-date on HR best practices, trends, and relevant industry laws.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, psychology (with a business minor)/I-O Psychology, or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on HR experience, preferably in a mid-level HR role.
PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) certification strongly preferred.
Strong experience in recruitment and employee relations
In-depth knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Experience in employee training and development initiatives.
Knowledge of compensation and benefits strategies.
