WHO WE ARE

Salary: $65,000-$75,000

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the school based leadership team that reports to the School Director, the School Operations and Technology Manager serves as the primary resource and contact for school-based operations, technology, and data functions.

Transportation

Oversee all aspects of the school-based transportation system, including but not limited to, arrival, dismissal, and communication with vendors.

Participate in all meetings with the transportation vendor to address challenges, requests, and concerns of their school.

Food Service

Collaborate with the food service vendor and SFA to ensure an efficient federal food services program.

Inform SFA of any compliance concerns or requests for changes to the food service program.

Facilities

Manage and communicate all facility maintenance requests.

Communicate building needs to appropriate vendors.

Maintain all building level documentation outlined in the NOLA PS Lease Agreement.

Act as the primary building level contact during refurbishment and capital projects.

Develop and execute proper cleaning schedules to maintain a high quality learning environment.

Supervise all facility based logistics and coordinate use of space.

Respond to building emergencies during and AFTER hours.

Perform consistent walkthroughs of the building(s) and provide feedback to custodians/vendor.

Health and Safety

In collaboration with the School Director, act as the point of contact for health and safety inspections.

In collaboration with the School Director, ensure required emergency drills are performed.

Develop and maintain an effective Crisis Plan.

Facilitate the accident and incident reporting process with a focus on prevention.

Oversee student check-out and visitor procedures to ensure safety of students and staff.

Finance

Liaise with the finance team to ensure school requests are submitted timely.

Liaise between the cash custodian and the finance team to maintain proper security and documentation of all cash collected in the school.

Place office supply orders with approved vendors.

Review all finance documents for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to finance.

Supervision

Supervise custodians and office staff, ensuring that all internal school operations are running consistently at a high quality.

Liaise with NeST staff in the management of volunteers and volunteer projects.

Talent

Support the new hire onboarding process by coordinating the following items;

Verifying I9 identification

Conducting facility tours and introducing new hires to other staff members

Managing staff attendance

Data

Maintain accurate student records in all student information system, including (but not limited to) Powerschool, SchoolRunner, School Messenger, and InfoFinder

Manage intake and exiting of students within the system

Verify student data and maintain paper student files

Pre-k quarterly reporting

Process records requests

Prepare data for state reporting and compliance

Work with school leaders to ensure accurate attendance

Monthly truancy reporting and notifications

Distribute daily/weekly attendance letters to families (where applicable)

Facilitating the registration process to ensure accuracy and compliance with OneApp process

Support the school test coordinator

Communication and Collaboration

Support and collaborate with school directors and school leaders.

Maintain regular check-ins with administrative assistants, school directors, and director of operations

Develop and disseminate communications to parents including flyers and robo calls.

Support student recruitment activities through referral programs, calls, and intent to return forms.

Support end of year processes, testing, and distribution of information among various departments.

WHAT YOU BRING

In addition to the expectations listed above, you will bring the following to your school and students:

Bachelor's degree preferred

At least 2 or more years of school-based experience, preferably in an underserved area

Operations experience preferred
