Indrotec is seeking a qualified Test Technician for our Fortune 500 manufacturing client in Bloomington. As an Engineering Technician, you will be given the opportunity to conduct standard and non-standard testing on current and experimental products in their Mobile Solution Liquid Lab.
The Engineering Test Technician will develop and maintain positive relations with internal customers and team members, as well as coordinate with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
The Engineering Test Technician will support and actively participate in lab continuous improvement initiatives and will perform laboratory housekeeping and other administrative duties as directed.
Duties and responsibilities
Participate in the development of new technology, new products or modifications to existing products to meet technical requirements within time and cost constraints.
Consult with the test requestor and/or lab manager to determine appropriate testing methods and understand desired outcomes for standard products.
Set-up and conduct performance tests, without supervision, using established standardized formats and procedures in order to identify performance ratings.
May adapt procedures, process, tools equipment and techniques to meet the more complex testing requirements with the help and supervision of others.
Prepare accurate test data for interpretation and analysis.
Appropriately identify test equipment issues and communicate them to more senior level technicians or supervisors.
Operate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing.
Assist with equipment calibration and perform basic test bench maintenance under supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience as a test technician or related mechanical field
Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office)
Must meet ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment and test standards preferred
Demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude
Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities and take direction from supervisors and team members
Ability to communicate concisely and accurately to individuals and small groups
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of data, reports, records, etc.
Ability to define a problem and make quality decisions based on analysis, experience and sound judgment
Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to recognize the importance of common goals and working with others to achieve them
Schedule
Position will require flexibility in working hours:
Training: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm, Friday 10am-6:30pm
