Description:CNC Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift (3pm-1:30am) Monday-Thursday (Must Be Flexible to Work Overtime)

Summary:
Operates a CNC Press Brake machine to bend sheet metal parts according to specifications.
Essential Duties:
Must be mechanically minded and willing to be cross-trained in a variety of fabrication functions and operating software.
Load punch and die tools, Load full sheets of coil and metal with MH equipment, place finished parts in assigned bins, and (will train) to use automated tool sharpener.
Set up tooling following pre-made 3D programs.
Operate CNC Press Brake, making adjustments to meet design and product specifications according to standard ANSI engineering prints.
Read and understand prints using calipers, protractors, and tape measures to confirm dimensions.
Set up and adjust pre-existing programs to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
Utilize planning software (INFOR) for reporting, scheduling, and investigating parts.
Inspect raw materials and finished parts for quality.
Participate and maintain 5S practices to maintain an organized and clean work area.
Equipment and Operation:
Follows safety procedures during setup, operation, and part runs.
Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions.
Performs in-process checks to maintain tolerances and quality.
Keeps equipment clean during operation.
Occasionally deburrs and inspects parts for conformance.
Stacks completed parts carefully, efficiently, to ensure damage does not occur.
Communication:
Communicates production issues to the Production Supervisor.
Collaborates with management, production control, and others for assignments and resolving machining/quality issues.Requirements:

Mechanical Skills
Mechanically minded and willing to be cross-trained in a variety of Fabrication functions.
Ability to use and read measuring instruments (i.e. Calipers, measuring tape, etc.)
Able to read and interpret part drawings.
Apply basic sheet metal forming principles, understanding tooling and bend radius.
Proficient in reading calipers (Digital), protractors, measuring tape (no fractions, we use cm or mm)
Math Skills
Requires good math skills to understand and process complex work instructions
Problem-Solving Skills
Determine methods to increase output and fix errors.
Keen attention to detail is required.

Education:
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
6 months experience in a machine shop
Preferred experienced in operating a press-brake (hydraulic or Electrical) Safan-Darley/LVD and Prima Power Machine
Preferred Forklift experience required.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Stamina: Press brake operators often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
