POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is not as a salesperson or marketer. This position is a tradesman role with the ideal candidate having a background in construction, carpentry and/or residential remodeling.
The Show and Events Logistics Coordinator is responsible to create, build and finish a variety of show, showroom, and office display materials to support marketing activities in all Improveit Home Remodeling markets. Assisting with the repair or replacement of damaged display materials and construction of new display products while also bringing new ideas to the table for product displays. Meeting or exceeding the physical display requirements for all Show/Event set-ups and teardowns according to Show/Event guidelines. Coordinating Show/Event set-ups & teardowns with adequate staffing, as well as ensuring all materials/displays chosen by the Design Manager are accounted for and included in both set up and tear down. Collaborating with the Design Manager on new ways to represent our products in a visually interesting and cost-effective manner. The Show and Events Coordinator is a critical member of the production team and will regularly support other production-related logistics functions to drive effective installation and services for IHR customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to perform the general physical labor required for event set-up and take-down including, but not limited to, standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time, loading/unloading box truck, lifting up to 75lbs, moving, pushing, pulling, hauling, kneeling and bending.
Assemble tents, tables, walls, bath/window displays, lay carpet, hang signs, vacuum and clean displays and other tasks as assigned.
Perform work in a professional manner by demonstrating patience and composure under pressure in a fast-paced, strenuous or demanding environment. Provide instruction and guidance for employees.
Possess a current State of Ohio driver’s license and a good driving record.
Ability to work extended hours as necessary, including weekends and overnight travel when needed, to ensure adequate set-up and take-down of shows, stores and events.
Ability to work in varying climates including cold, heat and various forms of precipitation.
Supervise and assist with onsite take-down including disassembly of tents, tables, walls, bath/window displays, picking up carpet, removing signs & decorations and loading box truck.
Ensure the inventory list of all take-down items is complete and accurate.
Ensure all rental items are returned on time and intact and that damaged items are documented to prevent a rental company from claiming more damage than actually occurred. Notify the Senior Product Manager immediately of any issues.
Communicate any set-up or take down problems immediately to the Field Marketing Coordinator.
Maintain and modify box truck as needed to protect and deliver display items.
Submit original receipts to the Marketing & Design Manager within 48 hours of all purchases, or as soon as reasonably possible.
Obtain prior approval from the Senior Production Manager for any overtime hours expecting to exceed 5 hours per week.
Obtain prior approval from the Senior Production Manager before hiring labor help.
Maintain all equipment and a warehouse inventory list. Make recommendations for purchasing new equipment and/or supplies as needed to keep inventory stocked.
Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area for employees.
Implement decisions regarding changes in policy/procedure as directed.
Report all accidents or incidents, no matter how slight, to the Senior Production Manager.
Fulfill other Production / Service / Installation department assignments as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma / GED
3+ years of Logistics / Project Coordination Experience
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve complex problems in a high-stress and high-pressure environment.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Smartphones, Tablets/iPads, and computer programs such as Salesforce, required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works in a warehouse and at various field locations.
