Location: East Indianapolis

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $22.50/hour

Environment: Cold facility (30 ree;F)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and driven Picker Lead to oversee weekend shift operations in a refrigerated food manufacturing facility. The Picker Lead will be responsible for managing a team of pickers, ensuring all orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on time. This role requires hands-on leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a cold environment.

Duties:

Lead a team of pickers to accurately fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while enforcing food safety and GMP standards.

Oversee daily picking operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Communicate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy and availability.

Provide on-the-floor training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.

Monitor workflow and ensure productivity targets are met.

Utilize inventory systems and pick lists to verify order accuracy.

Handle basic reporting and documentation related to picking operations.

Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed during order selection.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a leadership or lead role within a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, cold environment (30 ree;F).

Comfortable with physical work, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience with pick lists, scanners, or inventory tracking systems is preferred.
