Our client is an established machine builder systems integrator in Columbus, OH. They are currently search for an experienced Shop Supervisor. This is a full-time/direct hire opening offering a competitive base salary plus bonus and full benefits. As the Weld – Fab Shop Manager duties include:

Leading, mentoring and supervising the welding and fabrication shop associates.

Reading drawing and prints to establish and setting up work orders and schedules.

Providing hands on support as needed.

Implementing and adhering to best practices.

Ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Coordinating the shipping/receiving of incoming and outgoing parts

Qualifications for the Shop Manager include:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Supervisory position

Prior work experience in a custom manufacturing or machine builder setting

Experience with welding and fabrication

Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

Mechanical machine assembly knowledge

Strong mechanical aptitude

Excellent leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills
