Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping experience and, ideally, some background in the automotive industry.

Job Overview:

The Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and handling day-to-day accounting functions. This position is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and will be an essential part of our accounting team. The successful candidate will have solid experience in bookkeeping, an understanding of general accounting practices, and preferably some familiarity with automotive business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

General Bookkeeping:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Automotive Industry Specific Tasks:

Record and track parts inventory purchases and expenses.

Process customer payments and ensure proper billing for parts and labor.

Record Keeping & Compliance:

Assist in preparing for audits and financial reviews.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with internal team members, including managers and other departments.

Assist with any other accounting inquiries or tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Automotive industry experience is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills.
