Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Ketchikan, Alaska.

Shift: 12 hours, nights, flexible, rotating

Employment Type: Travel

This is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC/Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg.

We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc.

We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Workstations on Wheels.

We DO NOT USE Med Packs which is what a lot of the LTC’s down south utilize our Med pass process is a hybrid between a LTC /MedSurg process.

Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive.
