Controls Engineer Manager Role Description

Administrative

- Attend daily meetings (QRQC, Informational Morning Meeting)

- Guide and direct engineers in scheduled tasks.

- Perform employee evaluations at a minimum of twice per year.

- Attend cross-functional team meetings.

- Manage Projects involving outside/3rd party contractors at multiple locations for equipment modifications, upgrades, and installations.

- Manage department budget.

- Handle interdepartmental requests for assistance and change requests.

- Weekly reporting to direct management.

- Be available to travel to US and International Topre Facilities/Integrators when necessary (generally <10%)

Technical

- Read and understand electrical schematics.

- Update/Develop electrical schematics using CAD software.

- Maintain schedule for backups of equipment programs/data.

- Assist in development of Safety, Quality, and Production countermeasures.

- PLC/HMI troubleshooting.

- PLC/HMI Program development and review.

- Experience using the following software:

o RSLogix 500/ RSLogix 5000/ Studio 5000/ FactoryTalkME

o Sysmac Studio/ CXOne

o GX Developer/ GX Works/ GT Designer

o KV Studio

o GP-Pro EX

o Step 7

- Experience with Industrial Robotic integration (Spot welding, MIG welding, Handling/Packaging)

o Yaskawa Motoman

o Fanuc

o OTC Daihen

o Panasonic

o ABB

o Omron (collaborative robot)

Requirements

To be eligible for this position candidates must:

- Have at least five years of relative work experience

- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Engineering management or similar field preferred but not required.

- Meet any other requirements set in place by Topre America Corporation’s Human Resource Department.Company Description
