We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team on the 2nd shift from 4:30 pm to 2:00 am, Monday through Friday (with potential for a half day on Friday depending on workload). The primary responsibility for this role includes operating various pieces of equipment to load I-beams and structural steel onto trailers. Equipment operation includes forklifts, Combi-lifts (large sideways forklifts), Sktracks (a hybrid crane hilo), and regular outdoor hilos. An essential part of the job is ensuring trailers are not overloaded according to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Please note, training will be conducted on the 1st shift.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, Combi-lifts, Sktracks, and outdoor hilos.
Load and unload trailers with I-beams and structural steel.
Ensure loads comply with DOT standards to prevent overloading.
Utilize overhead cranes and scissor lifts as needed.
Perform general warehouse duties including shipping and receiving.Work Environment
This role is within a Structural Steel company, combining elements of both production and construction environments. A significant amount of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, including hardhats, safety goggles, and respirators when necessary, though steel-toe boots are required. Safety is a top priority given the high risk of serious harm if an accident occurs. The team fosters a locker-room atmosphere where camaraderie and a sense of humor are encouraged.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
