Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid)

12+ months Contract to hire

Pay: $60/$70/Hr on W2 (depends upon experience)

Summary

The candidate must be a self-starter, who can work under general guidelines in a fast-paced work environment. Overall minimum 5 years of experience in cloud (AWS / Azure) data engineering along with traditional application development using programming languages like Java, Python, and C.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

Develop and maintain batch processing jobs for data extractions, transformation using Python.

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Experience working with traditional on-premise databases including Oracle, Sql Server and DB2.

Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.

Use standard CI/CD pipelines to roll and deploy the code.

Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting and presenting theses for architectural review.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.

Experience in the Spring Framework.

Proven experience in Python development, with a focus on batch job processing.

Experience with automation tools and frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Education, Certification, Training:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
