Summary
One Care DC, Inc is a behavioral health agency located in Washington DC has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. The position is responsible for overseeing the quality of services that are provided and to ensure compliance. This includes but is not limited to data collection, ensuring file and documentation compliance, and facilitating mandated staff training. The individual must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success.
Responsibilities
Monitor timely access to and availability of services in compliance with MHRS Chapter 34 regulations, The Joint Commission standards and One Care DC operational procedures.
Identify instances of high-volume or overbilling of services.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all internal service delivery system levels.
Model, reinforce, and monitor high-quality customer service while maintaining confidentiality across all departments and programs.
Conduct comprehensive quality assurance audits, analyze data, and ensure compliance
Review consumer charts, care, service provision, and satisfaction data,
Identify non-compliant documentation and address it with the appropriate staff.
Prepare performance measurement and service delivery
Investigate consumer complaints, grievances, and incidents, documenting findings
Propose recommendations for process improvements to enhance service quality.
Assist in developing internal improvement plans and corrective actions to address compliance gaps.
Research best practices to improve overall quality of care, service provision, and documentation.
Ensure staff complete all mandated training, supervision, and submit completion reports
Help complete and submit MUIs/MUs reports and track the submission of these reports
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of policies, procedures, and operations across the QA&I department.
MHRS Chapter 34 regulations, The Joint Commission standards and One Care DC operational procedures as well as applicable Federal, State, and local laws.
Attend all required training and mandatory meetings.
Conduct staff training as needed.
Submit weekly reports
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge of Quality Assurance program requirements.
Ability to observe, document and evaluate operations.
Ability to identify service issues and develop effective solutions to resolve operational and technical problems.
Ability to effectively interpret and analyze data.
Ability to navigate EHR independently
Ability to prepare and present comprehensive technical reports and briefings.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Superior problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other standard software applications.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work and collaborate effectively under pressure.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary team

Education/Work Experience
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant, qualifying experience, such as experience in behavioral health care delivery or health care quality improvement initiatives.
