Palmetto Preschool is looking for anAssistant Directorto help lead our team and support our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education. This role requires a balance of leadership, organization, and hands-on involvement in classrooms. About the Role:

As the Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Director to ensure the school operates smoothly while maintaining a warm, engaging, and educational environment for children and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting Teachers & Staff:Providing guidance, training, and mentorship while stepping into classrooms as needed.

Building Family Relationships:Communicating with parents and guardians to foster a strong school community and address any concerns.

Managing Daily Operations:Assisting with scheduling, enrollment, licensing compliance, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.

Ensuring High-Quality Education:Upholding curriculum standards and best practices in early childhood education.

Flexibility & Leadership:Stepping into classrooms when needed and occasionally working nights or weekends for special events, trainings, or staffing needs.

What Were Looking For:

Education & Experience:

Associates degree inEarly Childhood Education (ECE) or a related fieldwith at least 2 years of experiencein early childhood educationOR

3 years of leadership experiencein a preschool, childcare center, or early education setting

Strong leadership and communication skillsto support teachers and build relationships with families

Organizational and problem-solving abilitiesto manage daily operations and maintain a high-quality learning environment

Flexibility and adaptabilityto step into classrooms or work occasional nights/weekends as needed
