Job Description

We are a dynamic real estate development company with significant land positions in the key industrial corridors of Laredo, TX. Our team is dedicated to creating value through strategic planning, innovative development, and effective financial management.

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to manage and oversee all aspects of our accounting operations. This is a key role that will collaborate directly with our management team to ensure accurate financial activities and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks to record, manage, analyze, and report all transactions for our entities.

Billing Oversight: Review invoices, report findings to management, and manage payments to vendors.

Loan Management: Handle draw requests with our lender and track/analyze loan budgets.

Property Tax Management: Ensure timely payment of property taxes and maintain accurate records.

Bank Reconciliations: Monitor daily bank activity, perform monthly reconciliations, and track deposits, debits, and transfers.

Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and budget analyses to provide management with actionable insights.

CPA Collaboration: Work closely with our CPA firm for quarterly financial reviews, audits, and annual tax filings.

Financial Model Review: Analyze financial projection models, providing input on accounting assumptions.

Team Collaboration: Partner with management on all accounting and financial matters.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in bookkeeping or accounting.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in real estate or construction accounting is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.Company Description
