Job Description

The Installation Field Technician will be responsible for field technical support services required for the installation, commissioning, and training of laundry equipment in North America. This is a hands-on working position related to field services, equipment operation and product installation. The Installation Field Technician will advise and support the Technical Service Manager on all aspects of equipment assessments and estimations of service work, and on issues and trends affecting the serviceability of the company's product line. Domestic travel will be required for on-site installation and field service, technical assistance, and oversight to distributors and/or customers as needed.

Responsibilities:

Lead New Equipment Installation Projects - Oversee project coordination from equipment delivery through final commissioning, including comprehensive pre-planning, on-site coordination, and management of travel and project timelines to ensure successful execution.

Provide Post-Sale Support & Technical Troubleshooting - Execute on-site diagnostics, service, and repairs for industrial equipment and systems, ensuring minimal downtime and sustained operational efficiency for the customer.

Conduct Equipment Operational Training & Customer Support - Deliver hands-on equipment training and coordinate post-sale support programs, serving as the first line contact for customer and distributor service inquiries regarding installation, service, and product performance.

Maintain Communication & Documentation Standards - Ensure consistent internal and external communication to support project timelines and scope of work, while accurately maintaining weekly service reports and documenting open/closed job statuses.

Liaise with Sales & Engineering Teams - Act as a technical resource to internal sales personnel, providing training on product capabilities, assisting with equipment sizing and layout, and offering feedback on installation challenges and product enhancements.

Support Warranty Investigations & Compliance - Assist in evaluating warranty claims, ensuring compliance with warranty policies, and working with stakeholders to resolve product issues efficiently and transparently.

Requirements:

Electrical or Mechanical Experience on troubleshooting various machines, motors and equipment - A foundational qualification that ensures the candidate has the technical acumen and training necessary to succeed in a field service capacity.

2+ Years of Field Service Experience in Commercial Laundry or Related Industry - Proven, hands-on experience in field service reflects the candidate’s ability to manage real-world challenges and customer environments effectively.

Proficiency in Electrical Schematics and Diagnostics - Ability to read, understand, and edit electrical diagrams and wiring schematics is critical for accurate installation and troubleshooting.

Strong Mechanical and Electromechanical Aptitude - Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is essential to ensure operational excellence and service reliability.

Effective Communication and Client-Facing Skills - Strong interpersonal capabilities enable the technician to deliver superior customer service, manage expectations, and provide training and support.

Self-Driven, Organized, and Detail-Oriented Work Ethic - The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy in task execution is vital in a fast-paced field service environment.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Requires 25% travel up to a week at a time.
