Overnight Caregiver

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Overnight Caregiver to provide dedicated support and companionship to individuals in end-of-life care. The ideal candidate must be CNA certified and possess at least 1 year of hands-on experience caring for the dying. This position requires someone who can work independently and meet basic health and personal care needs with professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities:

Provide overnight supervision, comfort, and emotional support

Assist with basic activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, repositioning)

Monitor vital signs and recognize/report any changes in condition

Maintain a clean and safe environment

Administer medications as allowed by CNA certification (if applicable)

Offer emotional support to patients and their families

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Requirements:

Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification

Minimum 1 year of experience caring for individuals in end-of-life or hospice settings

Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Compassionate, patient, and attentive demeanor

Excellent communication and observation skills

Reliable transportation and punctuality

Preferred:

Experience working overnight shifts

Familiarity with hospice care protocols and comfort care principlesCompany Description
