Gourmet Deli Counter Server

Job Description

Family owned and operated since 1978, Organica Natural Foods has served Bergen and Rockland Counties as the premier natural foods market.

Candidate must:

Provide exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner

Effectively work any station on the service counter (hot case, cold case, bakery)

Effectively portion, present and package merchandise

Operate scale

Maintain a clean, appealing and sanitary work area in accordance with Health Department regulations

Maintain an understanding of the food you are serving/selling

Adhere to all Gourmet Department and Store policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook

Maintain a clean and neat appearance in compliance with the Dress Code policy

Candidate must be able to work as part of a close knit team in a fast paced environment and have good verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills are a plus and must have the ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time as well as have the physical ability to lift, lean and bend. Scheduling flexibility to include weekday nights (6pm) and weekends (5pm).
