Job Description

Seeking an experienced Field Coordinator responsible for Route Dispatch of scheduled pickups, coordination with contact center schedulers, as well as general supervision of Route Drivers and Route Assistants – Loaders. Our Appliance Recycling Program provides an incentive to public utility customers for turning in outdated / energy in-efficient appliances. Pickups are routed for five (5) days a week, with occasional weekend scheduling to accommodate a statewide program. We also have events throughout the service territory that are led by the field coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have extensive experience in the development and maintenance of the field crew schedules, using 'real time' routing software and recording pickups in an online tracking application. The Field Supervisor must have a combination of proven leadership, exemplary professionalism, crystal clear communication, and a positive can-do attitude.

DUTIES

Create, and monitor, and adjust daily crew routing schedules using a 'real - time' routing application.

Track and report daily and weekly route pickups, outcomes, using tracking software.

Ensure adequate staffing levels for daily routes, customer pickups.

Review and approve all time off requests.

Monitor and track all customer pickups utilizing dispatch / routing software and ensure that all pickups are recorded in the system.

Manage and investigate customer complaints, crew and vehicle incidents, including gathering incident statements, photographs, police report, and writing incident reports.

Distribute and monitor gas cards as needed.

Monitor vehicle maintenance needs, escalate concern to management or coordinate service as needed.

Distribute, monitor, and ensure all staff are wearing approved company uniforms, ID Badges.

Distribute, monitor, and route crew equipment is in operational order, including crew cell phones, power hand tools and bits, shoulder harness/dollies, hand trucks, and rigging.

Ensure all staff are wearing approved company uniforms.

Monitor time clock and resolve time record issues as necessary.

Coordinator for crew pay discrepancies.

Performs related work as required.

Support in field assignments such as driving box trucks and/or loading appliances when and where necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

1+ years of driving experience with box trucks.

1-2 years coordinating routing with contact center staff, supervising field personnel and troubleshooting routing to reduce cancelations.

2- 3 years of experience routing, dispatching, and supervising field service or truck drivers, and/or delivery/pick up routes.

Valid Chauffeurs license.

Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License and a good driving record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Creative problem-solving ability in a fast-paced customer focused environment.

Proficient computer skills in MS office, especially Outlook and Excel - especially excel spreadsheets.

Exemplary communication skills (written and oral), along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Ability to respond to diverse sets of challenges in the field and do whatever it takes to meet project deliverables on schedule.

Prioritize and assign resources to address needs in real time.

Knowledge and understanding of energy audits and the direct install measures being carried out in this program is desired.

Able to meet project deadlines with-in-the program budget.

Recent or able to obtain DOT Medical Examiners Certificate ‘Health Card’.
