Job Description
Behavior Technician Role: The Behavior Technician works 1:1 in learner homes and in the community delivering ABA programming for children with autism. Must have experience with learners aged: 2-5 years old
Work Location(s): Waterbury or Bristol
Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
Structure therapy sessions and follow the treatment plan development by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Use a variety of applied behavioral procedures to teach communication, social skills, flexibility, daily living, and play skills.
Tailor interactions to fit the tone, volume, and appropriate language for the learner’s age and environment
Implement behavior plans to reduce and eliminate targeted problem behaviors.
Provide assistance to the family to ensure a high-quality learning and living environment for the learner.
Collect data for all programming using automated data collection tools
Behavior Technician Job Requirements:
Must Have 1 yr of experience providing ABA to children with autism
Must have a 4-year college degree in a related field
Must be able to arrive on time and avoid cancellations
MUST HAVE Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis procedures that include:
Discrete trials
Response Interruption and Redirection
Differential Reinforcement
Shaping
Pairing existing reinforcers with neutral items/activities to continually create new reinforcers
Conducting preference assessments
Naturalistic teaching procedures
Pivotal Response Training
Incidental Teaching Procedures
Teaching Interaction Procedure (for complex social skills).

Pay: $18-25 per hour plus PTO and Sick Leave for all part-time employees for all hours worked that can be cashed out annually if not used so the actual pay rate is $25 to $27/hr.
