Machine Operator/Lathe

Job Description

We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist/Operator to join a dynamic and growing team. If you have strong programming and troubleshooting skills, along with extensive experience in CNC lathe setup and machining, this position is for you!

CNC Machinist/Operator Job Duties include:

• Verify work orders for accuracy, ensuring correct materials, part numbers, and revision numbers.

• Set up machines, tooling, and offsets for CNC lathes.

• Operate Hwacheon Hi-Tech 230 AL YSMC, Nakamura SC-300M, and AS-200L with milling, using FANUC controls.

• Read and edit G-code and interpret blueprints accurately.

• Monitor machine sounds and diagnose issues to take appropriate corrective actions.

• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.

• Maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards.

• Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and resolve work problems.

Preferred Skills include:

• Proficiency in MasterCAM 2024 for CNC programming.

• Strong knowledge of machining applications, tooling, and inspection techniques.

• Experience with Live Tooling and Pick-Off operations.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Requirements include:

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming.

• Proficiency in CNC Lathe setup and operation.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Strong understanding of safety protocols in a machine shop environment.

• Ability to work in a high-noise environment with exposure to machine oils and cutting fluids.

Must provide 2 professional references.
