Longwood Gardens is seeking a part-time Operational Services Associate to play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall operational efficiency of our world-class facility. Responsibilities include:

Performing routine cleaning tasks, sanitization, waste & recycling management

Monitoring & replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment

Collaborating with and supporting of other departments as assigned such as work order fulfillment

Assisting with meeting, event, and educational class set-ups & breakdowns

Assisting with specialized cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and floor polishing

The schedule varies and requires working an average of 20 hours per week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will possess:

2+ years of custodial experience preferred but not required

A valid driver’s license is required

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely
